Gurera coordinated & compiled 'Kargil Cartoons' (a collection of cartoon in a book & a series of exhibition), cartoons made by various leading cartoonists as a token of solidarity with the Indian Army fighting in the difficult terrains of Kashmir. Kargil Cartoons were dedicated to the Indian Defense Forces. He himself drawn on-the-spot cartoons of Jawans who passed through the New Delhi railway station on their way to the Front. The cartoons were later exhibited at The Lalit Kala Academy in New Delhi, from 25 July to 31 July 1999, followed by exhibitions at Jaipur, Chandigarh, Patna and Indore.
