The Union Territory of Puducherry consists of four regions, namely, Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam lying geographically isolated from one another. The administration of the Narcotics Laws, namely, the Opium Act of 1857 & 1878 and the Dangerous Drugs Act 1930 vested with the Provincial Government. Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council, popularly known as CHEMEXCIL was established in the year 1963 with it's headquarters at Mumbai,with the objective of making concerted efforts to promote exports of Basic Organic and Inorganic Chemicals, Dyes, Pesticides, Soaps, Detergents, Cosmetics, Toiletries and other products like Agarbattis, Essential, Castor Oil etc.

The Chief Vigilance Office files are processed and submitted to the Chief Vigilance Officer through the Under Secretary to Government (Vigilance). A separate Police wing known as Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Police Unit headed by an Officer in the rank of Superintendent of Police had been set up under the direct control of the Chief Vigilance Officer.

The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) was created in 1961/62 by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), to develop food standards, guidelines and related texts such as codes of practice under the Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme.

The Coffee Board of India is an autonomous body, functioning under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Commercial Tax Department, Gujarat-Commercial Tax is nodal Agency for the Administration and collection of various taxes in the state of Gujarat.

Commerciall Taxes plays a very significant role in internal resources mobilisation of the State Government of Jharkhand and account for almost 70% of the total internal resources. Soon after the creation of the new state of Jharkhand, the Commercial Taxes Department was constituted in the State under the Finance, Institutional Finance and National Savings Department.
